We take this fruit from the biodynamically farmed Heart Arrow Ranch in Mendocino Co, ferment using whole clusters and uncrushed grapes, followed by aging in 900-gallon casks to create a wine that is more similar to a Beaujolais than a California Zinfandel. Soft and velvety with flavors of black cherry and strawberry.

This wine is made of Petite Sirah and  Zinfandel, blended with 130-year-old vine Carignane. The blend makes for a very complex, balanced, dark wine with a long, long finish. It’s a quintessential steak-house wine, made to go with food. It will last in the cellar for years!

We absolutely love these old vines planted on their own roots, in an unlikely spot in Oakley, CA. Vibrant fruit including pomegranate, and cranberry, as well as floral notes of rose and violets. A substantial wine with round tannins and a velvety mouthfeel, balanced by vibrant acidity and a long finish.

New Release!

The West Vineyard has long been one of the major components vineyards of our Dry Creek Reserve Zinfandel. These head-trained old vines always produce one of the biggest and darkest Zinfandels we make and we realized it was a perfect wine for a single vineyard offering. The wine is big, explosively aromatic, and quite rich in both mouthfeel and texture.

Hot days and cool nights produce this dry Rosé with beautiful aromatics, flavors of cherry and pomegranate and fresh acidity. Wonderful on its own as well as the perfect pairing to go with appetizers and light summer meals. 

Our newest single-vineyard wine from one of the most prestigious regions for Zinfandel in California:  the Rockpile AVA. This wine is absolutely bursting with floral and black fruit aromas, featuring great texture and mouthfilling flavors of black raspberry, black cherry, chocolate, violets, and spice.  Long-aging, but delicious to drink right now.  A perfect celebration wine.

2024 is our 28th anniversary and we felt a sparkling wine was the perfect way to celebrate. This elegant wine is made from Chenin Blanc; we harvested the grapes early for crisp acidity and the resulting wine is vibrant with flavors of grapefruit, apricot, and peach, and hints of honey. Yeast contact helped make the wine toasty and creamy.

Intense fruit flavors of blackberry and cassis, hints of choc­olate and licorice, great acidity and bal­ance. One of the most sensual Dry Creek Zinfandels we’ve made, with a luscious texture, complex fruit flavors, and a long and balanced red-fruit finish.
