We take this fruit from the biodynamically farmed Heart Arrow Ranch in Mendocino Co, ferment using whole clusters and uncrushed grapes, followed by aging in 900-gallon casks to create a wine that is more similar to a Beaujolais than a California Zinfandel. Soft and velvety with flavors of black cherry and strawberry.
We absolutely love these old vines planted on their own roots, in an unlikely spot in Oakley, CA. Vibrant fruit including pomegranate, and cranberry, as well as floral notes of rose and violets. A substantial wine with round tannins and a velvety mouthfeel, balanced by vibrant acidity and a long finish.
Our new addition to our 'Les Enfants Terribles' Wild Children. Made in a Loire Valley style with grapes from Clarksburg, it shows fresh, vibrant fruit that is complex and mouthfilling. The unusual combination of flavors–cassis, blueberry, pomegranate and spice–make this one of the most compelling Dashe wines ever.
A beautiful wine that offers bright, lively fruit with a great structure and balance. This Grenache is made in almost a Grand Cru Beaujolais style that offers a velvety texture with aromas of wild strawberry and flavors of strawberries and raspberries and a finish of minerals and peppery spice.
The grapes for this wine came from the Signal Ridge Vineyard and the wine was modeled after Grand Cru wines from the Beaujolais region of France. Its light red color, excellent aromatics, and silky-smooth texture mark it as more “Old World” style of wine.
